Testimony #1

Mrs.Sagaya Mary, running a small business by selling snack items near her house could extend her business to hospitals and offices when she joined the Micro finance scheme (SANGAM) of Divya Shanthi.

In 2002, she was introduced about the  SANGAM in Divya Shanthi and immediately joined as a member. With a loan amount of 10,000/-, she gradually improved her business and developed contacts directly with wholesale factory. This income was good enough for Mrs.Mary to pay up her children school fees and look after her family.

Later in 2005, she opened a petty shop with the profits gained and again with the help of Divya Shanthi SANGAM. This shop is close to Multi national company IBM. On knowing their requirement for lunch in canteen, she took up the catering and also employed many others for help.

Now, she is a successful business woman with the grace of God and timely help of Divya Shanthi.

Testimony #2

Mrs.Bhagaya, a member of Divya Shanthi Sangam since 2000, is the sole bread earner for her family .With 4 children in her family and husband as a house broker, Mrs.Bhagaya started a milk business with 1 cow. It later brought her profits and is now the owner of 3 cows. By taking a loan from the sangam she purchased a flour milling machine and runs business with it. Recently, her husband’s leg was amputated due to diabetics. To cater to the medical expenses while taking care of the children and their study expenses, she took a medical loan from Divya Shanthi SANGAM.

Now, Mrs.Bhagaya is a business woman, running milk business and flour mill. With the income she makes, she is now able to manage her husband’s medical expenses and get her 3 children study. One of her daughters also got married a year ago.

She is very grateful and thankful to Divya Shanthi for all the help extended towards her family in time of real need.

Testimony #3

Mrs.Mary Dorothy lost her husband when her child was 2 years old.  She then joined the Al-Ameen hospital and worked there for 7 years as typist and nurse. Later, she gave up the job due to the odd timings. It was then, she approached Divya Shanthi. Mrs.Colleen rescued her and her baby by joining them in to the school. The daughter was put up in Nursery and was partly sponsored for books, fees, uniform and lunch until she completed her SSLC.

Mrs. Dorothy’s daughter also successfully completed her PU and Degree (B.A) in first class and recently got married. She is employed with IBM. The trust provided them the prayer hall in the campus for free, for conducting the marriage.

Mrs.Dorothy  is now promoted to a teacher post within the Divya Shanthi School and is very thankful for giving her and her daughter a life they deserved.
