Community Work

An overview of the Divya Shanthi Community Programme:-

Our Community programme focuses on 6 economically backward areas of North Bangalore. People from three of these areas live in the semi urban belt and the other three in the rural belt. Scattered over a radius of about 25 Km, we operate these areas with a dedicated team to assist nearly 6000 families in need. The main aim of the programme is to empower the target communities with the available resources and opportunities and help to transform their lives through education, skills development, and income generation opportunities and to create among them the need for a clean and safe environment. The main thrust of the programme is the child through whom we get to know the extended members of the families. The programme is monitored by one coordinator and one programme organizer in each area.
